CIC Insights builds on the legacy of KIT & FIT, which served CIC members for more than two decades, while adding a more flexible, interactive, and presentation-ready experience. Institutions can explore key metrics across major areas of institutional performance, compare results with well-chosen peers, and generate reports that support planning, assessment, financial sustainability, and data-informed decision-making.
The tool is designed to help institutions understand their metrics in comparison with customized peer groups, prioritize areas for further attention and potential goal-setting, and communicate findings across the campus community. Users can review summary reports, explore detailed metric dashboards, assess trends over time, and examine institutional financial health through the FIT Score.
CIC Insights also gives institutions flexibility in how they define context. Users can select and create customized peer groups based on institutional characteristics, IPEDS peer groups, self-selected lists, and geography, making it possible to evaluate performance from several perspectives and choose the comparison group that best fits the question at hand.
With customizable comparison groups, clear dashboards, and shareable reports, CIC Insights gives colleges and universities a practical foundation for better conversations, sharper priorities, and stronger decisions.
