Collaborative intelligence for aligned decisions

Lucid is a shared decision environment for institutional leaders.

It combines governed data, role-specific dashboards and AI, and scenario modeling built on proven analytical frameworks so leaders across the institution—from chairs and deans to provosts, presidents, and boards—can prioritize key issues, model scenarios, and make strategically aligned, data-informed decisions.

WHY LUCID?

The landscape of higher education is changing rapidly. Leaders need to make faster, more strategic decisions.

But the data, processes, and governance structures at many institutions are not built for the pace or complexity of the moment.

Too often:

  • Data is fragmented across disconnected systems
  • Leaders work from different metrics, priorities, and assumptions
  • Strategic imperatives can feel at odds with faculty governance
  • There is excitement about AI, but real concerns about trust.

Lucid helps institutions create a shared foundation for decision-making—so leaders can see clearly, align around key priorities, and move forward together.

A Shared Decision Environment for Institutional Leaders

Lucid enables decision-makers, from boards to chairs, to:

  • Look at governed data in role-appropriate ways
  • Prioritize key issues
  • Model scenarios
  • Make strategically aligned, data-informed decisions.

Lucid connects institutional performance, market demand, enrollment, finances, and strategy, so leaders can move beyond past practice and plan for what needs to happen next.

What It Is

An integrated decision environment based on governed data.

Lucid provides role-specific dashboards and AI tools for decision-makers across the institution:

  • Boards
  • Presidents, cabinets, and CFOs
  • IR and IE directors
  • Provosts
  • Deans
  • Chairs and directors.

How It Works

Lucid gathers data from your institution, cleans and standardizes it with a semantic layer, and presents it through role-specific dashboards and AI portals.

UQ supports each stage of the process:

  • We gather data from your institution’s systems
  • We clean and standardize it with a semantic layer
  • We provide role-specific dashboards, AI, and scenario modeling
  • We provide implementation and consulting support to integrate the data into the decision life of your institution

Our initial focus is academic operations: programs, departments, courses, curriculum, staffing, and financial planning. The tool also encompasses non-academic budgets, non-faculty staffing, and athletics. Over time, we may expand into areas such as student success and retention, admissions and enrollment, and development.

Why UQ?

FAQs

How long does it take to set up?

Lucid typically takes three to four months to set up, followed by six months of implementation and ongoing refinement.

Does it come with consulting support?

Yes. UQ supports institutional priority-setting, data gathering and validation, decision framework design, and campus implementation.

Is it secure?

Yes. Lucid protects customer data through purpose-limited AI, commercial APIs with no model training on customer content, anonymized student data, role-based access controls, encrypted data infrastructure, and SOC 2–aligned security practices.
